Roger has had over 35 years of public accounting experience. Roger specializes in tax planning, small business consulting and auditing. Roger graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with a degree in accounting in 1972 and received his CPA certification in 1976. He earned his designation as a Certified Valuation Analyst in 2004 and became accredited in Business
Valuations in 2006.

Roger is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). In addition, Roger is also active in the community, where he currently serves on various civic Board of Directors.

MILAN C. SCHMIESING
Certified Public Accountant

Milan graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1962. He then served four years in the Air Force. Thereafter, Milan graduated from the Willmar Technical Institute in 1970. He began working for Latham & Parker, CPA's in December 1969, where he later became a partner. Milan merged his practice with Conway, Deuth & Associates in 1985. Milan received his CPA certificate in March 1976, and was the first Technical School graduate in the state of Minnesota to earn this distinction. Milan practices in various accounting and tax areas, with a specialty in auditing and estate planning.

He is a past president of Willmar Opportunities Inc., Willmar Noon Lions and Willmar Community Golf Club, Inc. He has also served on the Willmar Planning Commission and the Willmar Chamber of Commerce. Milan also serves on the Board of Directors for the Kandiyohi County and the City of Willmar Economic Development Commission Joint Operations Board and served as Past Chairman for 2 years. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.

MARK R. OLSON
Certified Public Accountant

Certified Specialist in Estate Planning™

Mark has been with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP since the firm was founded in 1985, becoming a partner in 1986. He has over 30 years of experience in public accounting. Mark graduated from Willmar High School in 1971 and Willmar Technical College in 1975. He received his CPA certification in 1985 and in 2007 earned the professional designation of Certified Specialist in Estate Planning™ (CSEP) certification. Mark practices in a variety of accounting and tax areas, but specializes in farm accounting and taxation, individual and corporate taxation and planning, estate taxation, and business succession planning.

Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member and past president of the Willmar Sertoma Club, and currently serves on the boards of the Ridgewater College Foundation and Dovre Township.

BRETT N. AAMOT
Certified Public Accountant

Brett has been with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP, since the firm was founded in 1985, becoming a partner in 1989. He obtained his CPA designation in 1985, and was listed in The Twin Cities Monthly and Minnesota Law and Politics as a "Super CPA" in 2001 and 2002. Brett was selected in 2009 to serve a role on the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) Leadership Cabinet.

Brett practices in a variety of accounting and tax areas, but concentrates on auditing, and small business consulting. He is active in a number of local civic organizations, including the Willmar Youth Football Association, and currently serving as the 2009-2010 Campaign Chair for the United Way of West Central Minnesota (Formerly United Way of Kandiyohi County). He also served on the Board of Directors for 6 years including the executive officer role of Treasurer and Past Chair. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.

LARRY E. STULEN
Certified Public Accountant

Larry has been with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing since the firm was founded in 1985. He became a partner in the firm in 1991. Larry is a graduate of Ridgewater College in Willmar and received his CPA certification in 1985. Larry practices in a variety of accounting and tax areas, but concentrates in farm accounting, individual and corporate taxation, and small business consulting.

Larry is active in the community where he’s a member of the Willmar Sertoma Service Club, Advisory Board Member at Ridgewater College, and past council member of his Church.

Larry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.

JAMES A. GILMAN
Certified Public Accountant

Jim established his own accounting practice in Willmar in September of 1981 after working for McGladrey and Pullen for four years. On October 2, 1995, Jim merged his practice in with CDS and became a partner.

He is a native of Mankato, Minnesota and attended Mankato State University receiving a BS degree in Mathematics and Physics in 1974 and a degree in Accounting in 1977. Jim passed the CPA exam in the fall of 1977 while working for McGladrey as a Senior Accountant and Consultant. Jim is current with his CPE requirements, including the governmental standards for auditors. Currently, he is licensed to practice in Minnesota and South Dakota.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, Jim has served on the Board of Directors of Bethesda Homes in Willmar and Bethesda Homes Foundation in Willmar. He also served on several boards of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar, served as Church Treasurer and on the Board of Directors of Lutheran Island Camp in Henning, Minnesota. He was also active in the Willmar Noon Lions (holding many offices including President) and the Willmar Chamber of Commerce. Since moving to Morris, Minnesota Jim has been active in Zion Lutheran Church in Morris, the Morris Area Chamber of Commerce, Prairie Pioneer Days and the Stevens County Fair. Jim has also served on many positions with the Lions District and Multiple District.

ANNETTE R. BENSON
Certified Public Accountant

Annette has been an integral part of our organization since 1983. Following graduation from the Accounting program at Ridgewater College, she began working for Conway, Deuth & Associates as a Computer Operator. She
progressed rapidly through the ranks, serving as Bookkeeper, Internal Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, Manager, Senior Manager, and in 1997, Partner. Annette became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1990. She practices in a variety of accounting and tax areas, but concentrates on auditing and small business consulting.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) and the
Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She is an active member at First Baptist Church of Willmar by serving as a member of the Audit Committee and a leader of mission trips to the Ukraine. She previously held positions of past Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees, and the Past Chair of the Endowment Committee. Annette has been involved in the Willmar Lakes Rotary serving as Past Treasurer and an active volunteer and advocate with United Way of West
Central Minnesota (formerly United Way of Kandiyohi County). Annette also served as Past Board of Directors for the Salvation Army in Willmar, MN.

LAWRENCE R. WEPPLO
Certified Public Accountant

Larry has 20 years of public accounting and auditing experience. He has been with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP since he graduated from Ridgewater College in 1988. Larry received his CPA certification from the Minnesota State Board of Accountancy in 1991 and became Partner in 2001. He practices in
all areas of accounting, with a special emphasis on commercial, governmental and not-for-profit auditing, consulting and accounting. He currently chairs the
CDS Accounting and Auditing committee. Larry is current with his CPE requirements, including the governmental standards for auditors.

Larry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Larry has served
as chair of the City Audit Review Task Force for the Minnesota Society of Certified Accountants and is currently a member. He also serves as the Treasurer for Main Street Willmar, the Willmar Community Foundation and E-quip Africa. Larry is a member of the Willmar Noon Kiwanis and is on the Sacramental Life Committee at St. Mary’s Church in Willmar.

JAMES (JIM) J. RUDNICK

Jim graduated from Appleton High School in 1989. He received his accounting degree from Ridgewater College in 1991, and earned his CPA certification in 1995. He has been with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP since 1991,
becoming a Partner in January of 2003. He practices in a variety of accounting and tax areas, focusing on tax planning and consulting, farm accounting and business and individual tax preparation.

Jim is on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Kandiyohi County as well as the Board for the Willmar Jaycees. He is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society
of Certified Public Accountants.

PAUL A. HARVEGO

Certified Public Accountant

Paul has over 25 years of public accounting and auditing experience. Paul attended Alexandria Technical School, then joined the accounting firm of Gruys, Johnson and Associates. In October of 1988, he accepted a position
with Fawcett, Young & Associates, Ltd. in Litchfield, MN. He received his CPA certificate in January 1989 and became a principal with Fawcett, Young & Associates Ltd. in October of 1989. Paul became a Partner with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing in August of 2003 when Fawcett, Young and Associates merged with CDS. Paul’s primary focus is on non-profit and governmental auditing. He received the Certificate of Educational Achievement in government
accounting and auditing in 1990. Paul is current with his CPE requirements, including the governmental standards for auditors.

Paul is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA). In addition, Paul has been involved in Litchfield Rotary (past President), Litchfield Youth Hockey, Litchfield Chamber of Commerce, Litchfield Watercade and Litchfield Community Drive.

MICHAEL (MIKE) A. JOHNSON

Mike has over thirty years of public accounting practice including over
twenty years owning and managing his own practice in St. Cloud, MN. Mike specializes in helping businesses analyze acquisition and sale opportunities, including business valuation, income tax planning, business consulting,
accounting, and analysis. Mike's long experience with numerous small business clients and former ownership of his own practice helps him to relate to and understand the challenges faced by today's business owners. His experience helps these clients relate technical information into everyday solutions.

Mike graduated from Rochester Community and Technical College in 1974 and received his CPA designation in 1985. Mike received the CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) designation in 2001 and received accreditation in business valuation (ABV) in 2007. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Minnesota Society of Public Accountants, Institute of Business Appraisers, and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Mike currently serves as treasurer of the Terrace Mill Foundation Board. He has served a number of organizations including Trustee of St. Michael's Church in St. Cloud and a board member of Sts. Peter, Paul and Michael School System in St. Cloud. Mike is also a Benedictine Oblate of St. John's Abbey in Collegeville, MN.

DARRIN D. OGDAHL

Darrin has 14 years of public accounting experience. He graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Darrin has been with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP since 1994 and was promoted to Partner in 2008. Darrin’s practice focuses on auditing governmental organizations and businesses as well as tax preparation and planning. Darrin is current with his CPE requirements, including the governmental standards for auditors.

Darrin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA). He is the Co-Chair of CDS’s Accounting and Auditing Committee and is on the School District Audit Review Task Force for the Minnesota Society of CPAs. In addition, Darrin is involved in local amateur baseball.

DAVID M. CORNEIL

Dave has over 15 years of public accounting experience. He graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Dave has been with Conway, Deuth & Schmiesing, PLLP since 1992 and was promoted to Manager in 2005. Dave became a Partner in January 2008. Dave’s practice focuses on business and individual tax planning and preparation, business consultation and auditing.

Dave is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MNCPA). He is the Treasurer for the Litchfield Development Corporation, Litchfield
Industries, Inc. and is involved in the Litchfield Kiwanis Club.
